Since
its inception in 1984, Columbus Montessori Education Center
has experienced tremendous growth. Beginning in a corner of
Redeemer Lutheran Church with a single classroom of 17 children,
the school now operates a 27,000-square-foot building located
on seven acres of land outside of downtown Columbus. Amid the
school’s growth and expansion, Columbus Montessori has
remained true to its founding mission of providing a high-quality
Montessori learning experience for children from birth through
eighth grade.
The school serves a culturally and socio-economically diverse student population.
Forty percent of students receive financial aid. The administration and staff
value positive school-home relationships and active community involvement. Most
of our teachers hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, Montessori credentials,
or both. These qualities make Columbus Montessori a truly unique learning environment.
