kass infant & toddler program
Columbus
Montessori understands and values the fact that 85% of a
child’s
capacity to learn is determined by age five. The Jessica Kass
Infant & Toddler Program was established in 1992 because
of the overwhelming need for a safe, quality, nurturing environment
for our community's youngest and most vulnerable members.
Columbus Montessori pioneered this concept in central Ohio
and remains
the only comprehensive Montessori infant toddler program
in the area. We serve children aged six weeks through three
years
by offering two full-time infant/toddler classes and two
part-time toddler classes.
Our
full-time program is uniquely structured so that infants and
toddlers share the same space with teachers in family groupings
consisting of a child-to-teacher ratio of 3-to-1. This continuity
of care offers children the chance to establish emotionally
close long-term relationships with the adults who care for
them. Part-time options for toddlers provide opportunities
for enrichment and parent support at a ratio of 6-to-1.
Structured
activities offer intellectual and sensory stimulation and motor
development. Additional activities stimulate curiosity and
nurture the innate ability of young children to explore, providing
a solid foundation for their future development.
